The Vegetarian Indian Restaurant Waltham Vegetarians Actually Trust
A vegetarian Indian restaurant in Waltham that runs a fully separate veg kitchen — no cross-contact, deep menu, Jain and vegan friendly. Here's why plant-based diners keep coming back to Peppino's.

Finding a vegetarian Indian restaurant in Waltham that takes plant-based cooking seriously — not as an afterthought — used to mean a drive into Cambridge. Peppino's Dosa changed that on Moody Street with a design most restaurants aren't willing to commit to: two entirely separate kitchens.
Two kitchens, one restaurant
Behind the wall, our vegetarian line runs its own tawa, its own pans, its own prep station, its own storage. Nothing from the non-vegetarian kitchen ever touches vegetarian food. It's the first setup of its kind in the country, and it's the reason Jain families, strict vegetarians, and vegans call Peppino's home.
What to order
- Dosas — masala, paper, ghee roast, Mysore masala. All vegan and gluten-free.
- Paneer classics — paneer tikka masala, palak paneer, kadai paneer, shahi paneer.
- Dals — dal makhani (overnight), yellow tadka dal, chana masala.
- Chaat — dahi bhalla, samosa chaat, tikki chaat, pani puri.
- Thali — the full vegetarian tasting: dal, sabzi, rice, roti, raita, sweet.
Jain, vegan & gluten-free
Because everything is cooked to order from a dedicated veg kitchen, we can adapt dishes for stricter diets on the spot. See our dedicated guides:
